A man, whose identity is not yet known to this publication, has been shot and wounded this afternoon.

The incident apparently happened between 15th Ruth and Roosevelt streets in Alex, at the sight of residents who had sat in their yards.

The eyewitness said the whole thing happened in the blink of an eye.

It is alleged that the victim was walking when a Polo driver interrogated him about why he was walking on the road.

“The victim answered with a question on why the driver didn’t hoot.

“Immediately, the perpetrator pulled out a gun, shot the man in the leg, and fled,” the source said.

Neighboring residents helped and called a cab that picked up the man to the clinic.

It’s unclear whether the number plate was taken by the witnesses.
