#NOTINMYNAME has condemned the killing of artist and socialite Aubrey Boshogo (48) whose body was found stabbed multiple times outside his home.

Boshogo’s lifeless body was found over the weekend in Observatory, Johannesburg.

“As #NOTINMYNAME, we want to condemn with utmost outrage the murder of Aubrey Boshogo which is suspected to be another LGTQI+ hate crime.

“We want to call on the South African Department of Justice to step up and protect the LGTQI+ community.

“We do not need any more deaths as they are unnecessary and hate crimes like these must be condemned,” General Secretary Themba Masango said.

“As a movement that is a friend to the LGTQI+ community, we will not rest until the perpetrators of Aubrey’s killing have been found.

“We also want to call on the police to make sure that the perpetrators are apprehended as soon as possible and that the justice system does with them what is necessary and that is to make sure that they get the harshest sentence,” Masango
