The MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture Nakedi Kekana is appalled by the senseless murder of an on duty security official at the Shiluvani Community Library in Greater Tzaneen Municipality, Mopani District.
It is alleged that an unconfirmed number of assailants entered the library premises, and demanded a firearm from the deceased. He was then fatally shot in the head.
Ndishavhelafhi Edward Nelufule was fifty (50) when he was killed.
It’s understood that similar incidents occurred in two other government facilities in the same District, wherein security officials were accosted and their firearms taken.
The MEC has sent her deepest condolences to the Nelufule family, friends and colleagues of the deceaced, and calls on law enforcement agencies to work around the clock in apprehending the heartless murderers.
“Just when one goes to work to fend for their families are they then met by hideous people who take their lives at a barrel of a gun. We call on the police to leave no stone unturned and bring about justice,” said the MEC.
