The rapper and television presenter, was charged with rape, assault and attempted murder today.
Maarohanye appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court today afternoon after he handed himself over to police earlier in the day.
Gauteng’s police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo, said Maarohanye had been processed at the Brixton police station.
The Uyajola 9/9 presenter was granted R10 000 bail.
Moja LOVE said in the statement that the channel recently learnt of Jub Jub’s case.
“Maarohanye’s appearance in court earlier today on various charges. The information at our disposal is that “Jub Jub” handed himself over to the
police earlier today and he is now out on bail.
“The channel will monitor the progress in this matter and will allow the law to take its course,” said Moja Love.
