While Nthabiseng’s family celebrates her 36th birthday today, her man was given a 10,000 bail today for allegedly killing her

Godfrey Mojalefa (33) appeared before the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court today on charge of murder after he allegedly stabbed his live-in-lover girlfriend.

The case was postponed to the 18th October 2023.

Sephula allegedly stabbed Nthabiseng Mokgothu twice at the back and 1 on the stomach.

She was murdered on the 20th August 2023 in Midrand where she stayed with the accused. Today, her family and friends attended the case and remembered that she could have turned 36 years.

The messages Alex Reporter has seen, read, “May he be sentenced for 36 years of your age. He has broken our hearts.”

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Sub Region E (GBV-F Desk) were among the other people who attended the case. They had called for community support to attend the bereaved family.

When reached for comment, the Gauteng Provincial spokesperson, Colonel Masondo, said he was on leave and referred us to Colonel Nevhuhulwi.

Nevhuhulwi referred us to the District Communication Officer, Captain Phora. However, Phora wasn’t reached at the time of publishing the article.

According to information at our disposal, he allegedly accused her of cheating, stabbed her and allegedly told people she had stabbed herself.
