A 22-year-old man, known as Rivoningo Victor Mabyalane of 161-20th Avenue in Alexandra, was found dead in the room.
The incident took place on June 13, 2021 at approximately 11am.
According to Alex’s police spokesperson, Simphiwe Mbatha, Charles Phahlela told the police that his cousin hung himself on the roof of the bedroom.
“The police looked out the window and saw him hanging by a wire cord. Police forced open the door and cut off the cord.
“Paramedics were called in and they declared him dead at the scene,” said Mbatha.
Police are investigating the case.
