After we got a terrifying call that a member of Dudula Movement in the name of Sibongile was about to be burned alive, we called the boss of Alex Police who acted swiftly.

The police found Sibongile alive with tyres on her neck, but badly moered!!!

The community did that in retaliation against Dudula by doing mob justice on the woman.

According to our source, Sibongile of 16th Avenue, had a list of Tsutsumani houses alleged to be targeted by Dudula.

Top face of Dudula Movement resigns

After the community of Tsutsumani accused Dudula Movement of massively terrorizing them, its public relations officer Agnes Malatjie resigned.
In the letter dated 30 May, Malatjie said was  serving the resignation letter to Dudula with immediate effect

“Unfortunately, my journey with the Movement has to end here, due to recent uncalled for activities which are highly against my morals and principles and what I thought the Movement stood for.

“I accepted whole heartedly to be the P.R.O./ Face of Dudula because I thought the mandate and objectives were all a good course and would bring South African
communities change, unity and a chance to advance their lives and living hood.

“Thank you for the opportunity given. But it all ends here for me with immediate effect.”

About 14 members of Dudula, including its leader Msayza Rati, have been arrested for public violence.

The clash between the residents and alleged members of Dudula resulted in some homes vandalized and people injured.

Many people blamed the movement, saying its mandate was no longer understandable.

The community also allegedly assaulted Rati and set his RDP alight.

Local demolished RDP when Dudula wanted to take it

A local businessman who is also a doctor, known by the community under the name of Jobe, is now the enemy of some members of the Dudula Movement.

Jobe is also a local property developer who is said to offer apartments for rental in First Park, Tsutaumani and other places.

He is alleged to have purchased an RDP house from a foreign national who allegedly received an eviction notice from Dudula.

According to Babalo Moloi, leader of the Dudula Movement, the Zimbabwean woman who once owned the house, has received seven days’ notice to vacate the RDP house. Moloi said he believed she got the RDP fraudulently as she was foreign national .

“That was our agreement with the woman to vacate the house peacefully.

“But within those seven days, she had already sold the RDP to someone in the name of Jobe.

“When Jobe found out we disapproved of his purchase of the RDP, he came with a TLB when we were not around and demolished it,” claimed Moloi.

When our news team went to the area, the RDP was already destroyed.

The scattered debris was an indication that there was an RDP.

“Our problem as Dudula is that whenever we want to take RDPs owned by foreign nationals, Jobe exceeds us and buys them,” Moloi alleged.

Alex Reporter visited the caretaker who works for Jobe, to ask for his boss’ numbers.

He said: “Because of this problem that my boss has with Dudula, I cannot give you the number.

“He just called me and instructed me that I shouldn’t give his number to anybody until this problem is solved.

“And again, my boss won’t be available on this number this week because of this noise,” says Caretaker.

After we obtained Jobe’s number from other locals, we tried in vain to contact him, as the number was disconnected.

Last week, Dudula was accused of violently chasing away foreign nationals, mostly from Mozambique, who stayed at 20th Selbourne.

However, Msayza Rati, senior leader of Dudula said the operation was conducted by members of the community.

Dudula, which made ugly headlines this week, was also blamed by 105 councillor Tefo Raphadu.

Raphadu was once accused of being a member of Dudula, but he came guns blazing and cleared his name.

He furiously stated that he was not a member of the group.

“Those that seek to link me to Dudula are mischievous.Their progadanga will not succeed or see the light of day.

“To try and link or associate me with Dudula is laughable.

“I won’t and will never entertain gossip or rumour mongering. Clowns and comedians will never prosper.

“I will continue to serve my community with no fear of any contradiction,” he said.

“I have no time to respond to people who continue to evict, harass and victimise South Africans from their houses.

“This group has turned to be a law unto themselves, hiding behind the guise of correcting occupation of houses by illegal foreigners.

“I have no relationship with Dudula nor have ever called them for any type of help. I’m shocked by their utterance that seek to suggest any working relationship.”
