Lucky Themba Jiyane (52) is accused of killing Mokgoba and allegedly stealing his service pistol.
Jiyane, taxi owner and a member of the taxi association, is a resident in Midrand.
According to information, Jiyane also handed over his authorized private gun that was allegedly used to kill the policeman.
He is due to appear before the court on March 25, 2021.
