Sopreezy is on a mission to keep real R&B music alive and well.

The singer-songwriter, originally from Inanda, Durban, but now residing in Johannesburg, is passionate about creating soulful and heartfelt ballads that evoke emotional and physical responses from listeners.

He’s an entrepreneur and the owner of Reezy Nation Records, and he takes pride in being his own brand.

Sopreezy is a vibrant individual who is always full of life. He’s the kind of person who goes after what he wants.

According to him, “I like to create opportunities. Not every opportunity is perfect, but I seize the moment and make it perfect.”

Born Philani Ngubo, he got inspired by Vedo & Chris brown.

He collaborated with Yc prime, Nasker,2proud & vendetta and all the songs were recorded at Reezy Nation Records. “I produced all the songs,” says.

He describes his sound as soulful R&B, which focuses on the art of storytelling.

“In my opinion, the art of storytelling has been missing in R&B for the last four to five years. I want my music to make you feel something; it should give you goosebumps.

“You can visually see what I’m saying in a song. Some R&B songs don’t give you that visual stimulation.

“Even when you’re not watching the video, you could listen, close your eyes and visualize what I’m saying.”

In the near future, he sees himself winning BET awards and mostly working with “my Idol Vedo on a project together”.

His message to people in general is: “Raise your head high and leave all the fear of mind behind.

“Never step back when the storm comes, instead face it with the full courage. Always believe that nothing is impossible.”
