The unemployed Penny Ngobeni (24) is determined to continue with patrols when he recovers.

The Setjwetla resident who joined community patrols in January 2023 is courageous and determined to fight crime irrespective of threats.

Originally from Mukhwatsi, Tzaneen in Limpopo, Ngobeni said he feels bad to have lost the people that fought crime with him.

He said the manner in which they died was very traumatizing and disturbing .

” I’m very lucky to have survived. When he shot me, I managed to run and fell in a market…he couldn’t see me,” says Ngobeni who currently walks on crashes.

However, Ngobeni said he is not scared to continue patrolling. ” I will never stop patrolling. I want to see change in Setjwetla concerning crime,” he said.

” That guy made a serious flop. I want him found and the community must do whatever they want on him.”
