Almost everyone in Setjwetla, Alexandra, is confused, angry and asking themselves who is next.

This follows the shocking death of Eric Siweya (53) who left his two kids and a wife.

Siweya, the first born in the family of five from Mozambique Nyembani, was shot and killed next to his house by an unknown gunman around 11pm last night.

When the thug was done shooting him in the head, he allegedly entered the deceased’s room, forcibly took phones from his wife and locked the room before fleeing the scene.

The neighbors apparently heard Siweya begging the thug not to kill him.

The thug allegedly set alight a shack belonging to Sezito Xitlhangu (26), Siweya’s neighbor.

Xitlhangu said he was lucky to be alive, as the fire was huge. His neighbors managed to put down the flames, but his shack was already destroyed.

The fire damanged Siweya’s room too. The family said that Siweya went out again to check if the fire was indeed down, when he met the thug.

When Alex Reporter arrived, pathologists had already taken him. Now the grieving family is asking for any donation that will assist in the preparation for his burial.

On the same night around 8 pm, another male resident was shot in the leg and hand in Xitshova, Setjwetla. The thug apparently said nothing as he shot the man who was warming himself in the yard.

Last week, five patrollers were shot and injured when a thug opened fire on them. They are reportedly recovering in hospital.

In April, five patrollers were shot and two died. The community believe there’s a gang in the name of school bag.
