Broadcaster, Fashion Entrepreneur, Social Activist and Corporate trailblazer Tshepo “Lord_Aluta” Mathari is the new Presenter of Alex FM’s Top 20 Music Chart Show.
The show airs every Saturday from 10am to 12pm on Alex FM.
Tshepo told Mashamba Media that he was so excited to be part of the ‘Elevate Your Mind’.
“Alex FM is a brand that has done so much for the community, in the music business fraternity nurturing artists and brands,” he said
Lord_Aluta, as Tshepo is fondly called, has a great deal of knowledge about radio. He started his journey at YFM where he was tasked with writing bulletins and news editing, amongst others.
He was also trained news anchoring whilst being groomed by industry veterans such as Khanyi Magubane, Mac Farlane Moleli and Udo Carelse.
Tshepo is a qualified journalist with a media qualification from Damelin.
Over the years he has built his thriving radio profile having worked at EKFM in Tsakane, Eastrand.
He then later explored an online radio medium, FDR (Fashion District Radio) and recently Evogue Radio, where he held their weekend chart shows.
For his birthday this year, which is on the 3rd September, Lord_Aluta has committed to a charity drive called Afrisanta for the next 4 months.
It will run from September to December where he will collect as many toys as he can for the Gomorah young kids.
He says the pandemic has had negative effects on almost every aspect of life.
“I just want to cheer up the young ones with toys, show them that society still loves and appreciates them.
“I’ve been very fortunate to have received direct mentorship from the Global business leader Richard Brandon in Philanthropy through Virgin Unite.
“He’s very big on giving back, hence these initiatives that I undertake,” says Tshepo.
The drive will start off with a dinner alongside friends, who will officially kick off the charity drive with donations.
Child-based organizations will benefit from the toys collected in the month of December.
