The KwaZulu-Natal based record company, SixNine Rekords is thrilled to announce the release of a single heat Nkqo Nkqo, featuring artist Asa.
The song is available on all music platforms. “Nkqo nkqo, is a single hit that has just been released to keep deep house and afro soul music lovers on their toes,” says the record company CEO Mr Mthokozisi Mgobhozi.
He said this came at the right time, especially during festive season when South Africans were expecting artists to bring them new tunes for entertainment over festive season and beyond.
Since 2019, the relationship between SixNine Rekordz and artist Asa has progressed greatly. Although this release was delayed, it has finally happened at the right time.
The record company was officially registered by Mr Mgobhozi and Mr Sithembile Mbuthuma, eager to bring change and elevate the music industry by revealing talented artist in Mzansi.
“The release of this hit song with Asa attests how truth Africa is rich with talent and this showcases all our intentions to uplift the standard of music in the country. We have long invited her to the studio, but I guess the distance between us has dragged us so long.
“When she arrived in the studio, there was no more turning back, and boom, this is what we came with. We hope the South African music lovers will love the song and support us. A lot is still coming,” said Mgobhozi with excitement.
“It has always been my dream. I’ve long been in the music industry but never pulled through to this point. I guess this is God’s perfect timing and I am pleased that it is finally happening.
“Thanks to SixNine Rekords. This is a dream come true and with this relationship, we are still going to bring more for the South Africans and Africa at large,” artist Asa Dengana explains.
The SixNine Rekords said Asa is a talented and experienced artist and they are excited to have an artist of her calibre as part of their record company family.

SixNine Rekords is a vibrant record label that was founded in 2019 by Mr Mthokozisi Mghobhozi and Mr Sithembile Mbuthuma.
Already making waves in the music industry, the record label has collaborated with a number of incredible artists, including none other than Judas, Vintage, Nico, Aleganto, and Zipho.
