Activists and Citizens Forum (ACF) came guns blazing, saying it’s extremely concerned about the economic hardship that the majority of “us will experience with the sharp increase in fuel price”.

ACF spokesperson,
Dennis Bloem asserted that it was definitely bad news for those who are already struggling, particularly pensioners.

Bloem said the impact of the fuel price increases would see the sharp increase in the price of food and all other things including transport fares..

“As the economic hardship for citizens continue, this government is failing in its task of reviving the economy. They have no plan at all.

“There is no doubt that consumers will have to tighten their belts.

“The situation is terrible. For the majority, many of whom already don’t know were the next meal will come from, the outlook is very bleak. For the poor and the vulnerable, the situation is going to be dire,” Bloem said.
