Alexandra community is in shock after reportedly killed his two children and tried to kill himself.
On 1 March 2023, it is alleged that he poisoned Thato (13) and Lesego (6). Boitumelo (10) survived.
He allegedly took the kids from Ikage Primary school to his house at 4th Avenue.
The kids stayed with their mother in River Park, Alex.
The two separated two years ago following excessive abuse, according to a family member.
“He took them to his room, locked the door and forced them to eat a poisoned food. They ate while he was holding a belt,” said the source close to the situation.
“They ate, and then in the middle of the night, the 13-year-old woke up and said his whole body was itchy. Then he started vomiting.”
They took him to the hospital, but he died before he arrived. While the family was still dealing with the first news, they got a call that the youngest was vomiting as well.
The source says the survivor is the one who told her family everything.
“She told us everything, but unfortunately she lost her mind. She began to see rats pop up from nowhere and she began to lose her mind,” the source said.
Their father also reportedly ate the same poisonous foods. However, he was sent to the hospital and didn’t die.
The family is worried that nobody told them where the bodies of the children were kept.
They also feared that the man might not be charged and that he could escape from the hospital.
Naledi wrote on her Facebook wall following the passing of her two sons.
“It feels like a dream. I can’t even cry, I just can’t believe that my kids are really gone 💔.God please give me strength.
“Police are failing me. I haven’t seen my kids’ remains and no case opened 😭😭😭😭 .
“Wherever they are, they are in a mortuary somewhere wearing school uniform.
“How can a man be this ruthless. How can a father kill his own kids? I’m so hurt, I can’t even express my emotions. All I can say is RIP to my sons.
“The hug I got from them when they were going to school, was actually a goodbye hug, yet I didn’t understand…. o long my sons, I’ll forever love you. From your mother.”
This morning, “we are going to check at the government mortuary or Germiston,” said the family member.
Two years ago, the suspect got arrested for assaulting Naledi.
He forced her to go loot and when she refused, he assaulted her.
When he was arrested, the police also took the stuff that he had looted.
