Tebogo Ahmed Rabohale, fondly known as TBG Rafael, is a South African recording musician, producer, songwriter and revered rapper.
The 26-year-old man, originally from Limpopo province, bolobedu, Shamfana village in Greater Letaba Municipality, is a gifted multi-award-winning musician.
He was just thirteen when he discovered his musical career. However, he received professional recognition in 2010. And he has since performed his great music at various places in Bolobedu, Pretoria, Johannesburg, Rustenburg, Giyani, Malamulele, to name but a few.
TBG Rafael is a versatile and competent music producer who produces a variety of musical genres.
At his age, he has already won several awards. GAMA 2019, Mzansi Youth Awards 2020, Pheli 2020 and Best Music Producer Awards 2021 are just a couple of examples.
In 2022, he received the Mpumalanga Hip Hop Music Award for Best Independent GOAT of Our TIME. He was also awarded the 2022 Great Times Magazine Award as Best Musical Producer.
He was nominated at one of the biggest awards in Africa, Kenya under the category of founder of the year 2021 alongside nominees from Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania ,Zambia, South Africa, Ghana and Nigeria .
He was also nominated again at SOYA, sponsored by FOYA Awards and nominated alongside the same countries.
Asked how it feels to win awards, TBG Rafael said: ” I feel awesome and great about the awards that I have won…so far so good. And I would like to appreciate my fans, friends and family for always having my back.
“I’m also thankful for all the nominations, because they really showed me that I’m going somewhere and towards something bigger.
“From now on, I see my self very far and beyond my imagination because I have great music coming up for my followers. And I believe it will break boundaries and open more doors.”
As South Africa commemorates young people who fought for academic freedom, TBG Rafael has a message for young people.
“My message to young people is that they must be consistent in everything they do and fuel thier passion. You must love what you do and excell in it more.
“Applying faith and actions at the same time helps a lot.”
