A 49-year-old man from Mavambe village in Malamulele, Limpopo, is due to appear in court for rape soon.
According to Malamulele police spokesperson, Sgt Busisiwe Khuzwayo, a 32-year-old mother (Known to Alex Reporter) of the 5-year-old girl, from the same village, told the police that her man raped her girl.
Khuzwayo said that the woman had visited her boyfriend, also in Mavambe, on January 13, 2023 at night.
She said the couple slept in the same bed while the girl slept on the floor.
While the woman was fast asleep, the man shifted from the bed and allegedly took the girl to the next room and raped her and returned her while the mother was still asleep.
Khuzwayo said that on April 24, the girl was taken to the doctor for medical treatment after complaining of stomach pain.
“The doctor then confirmed that the child was raped,” Khuzwayo said.
The child allegedly informed her mother that her step dad took her to the other room and inserted “his penis into her vagina and did up and down movement until he ejaculated in her”.
It is further claimed that the man threatened to make the girl disappear if she reported the affair to anyone.
“Police investigation continues,” she said.
