A taxi and an SUV were involved in a collision, killing eight people instantly.
The horrific accident occurred last night (12 September 2021) at N2 near the Nseneli off ramp.
According to Arrive Alive, two people were in critical condition, while six people had sustained serious injuries.
Sadly, eight people succumbed to their injuries before emergency services arrived.
Paramedics, together with fire and rescue services, used specialized rescue equipment to free trapped people.
According to Arrive Alive, the cause of the accident was unknown. However, authorities were investigating the incident.
The N2 between Nseleni and Empengeni was temporarily closed
