ANC unveils its KZN Premier candidate after Sihle Zikalala resigned

Sihle Zikalala resigned as KwaZulu-Natal premier, after losing the contest for provincial chair to Siboniso Duma.

Senior member of the KwaZulu-Natal legislature and former ANC Youth League deputy chair,  Duma  unseated Zikalala following a tight race to lead the governing party’s largest province.

Duma received 930 votes to Zikalala’s 665 ballots.

Following the resignation of  Zikalala the African National Congress KwaZulu Natal will on Monday, the 08th of August 2022, hold a media briefing.

The ANC will during the session unveil its Premier candidate.
