Newly crowned Queens of Miss Gauteng Exclusive celebrated

On Friday, 3rd May, there would be a celebration of the the magic of the Miss Gauteng Exclusive legacy to be held at the FoodBox Nu-Metro Building, 293 Jan Smuts Avenue, Hydepark from 8 pm.

Miss Gauteng Exclusive is a prestigious leadership pageant and transformational program that aims to empower women and provide them with opportunities for personal and professional growth.

It was founded in 2017 by three visionaries, Annwen Jordan, Kagiso Selele & Ozzy Notoane. The Miss Gauteng Exclusive pageant is a pioneering organization that challenges traditional beauty pageant conventions.

“By shifting the focus from external beauty attributes to inner beauty, social upliftment, and entrepreneurship, our pageant seeks to empower young women to become agents of change in their communities and society at large.

“We have produced industry professionals in countless industries,” explains Annwen Jordan.

To become part of miss Gauteng Exclusive you need to be between the ages of 18-27, reside in the Gauteng province and have a grown agenda that involves being a leader and impact your community.

Mahlako Machaba, the reigning Queen of 2024, walked away with a bursary valued at R40,000 from Boston City Campus, paving the way for her academic pursuits in any field of her choice.

Cash compliments of Mammodiselle concepts, further enhancing her beauty and style, Mahlako received vouchers for her nails and hair in order to look good during the year of her reign.

She also received a fully funded Nail Technology course from Mall of Tembisa & Zulfas Glamour Girls Academy, empowering her and her two princesses with entrepreneurial skills.

The top 3 received Scent and Glow fragrance packages, coaching from Yugen therapy, self-care essentials from Sabhle Bath Salts, Nectar Organics & moments models, A Zaza Legacy Wine premium bottle and perfume from lady B Perfumery also formed part of her winnings.

However, Jordan says running a platform like Miss Gauteng Exclusive without funding poses significant challenges.

“Without financial support, it becomes difficult to cover operational costs. Limited resources can also hinder the ability to attract the calibre of women we wish to see on a greater scale, and provide adequate support to contestants, potentially impacting the overall quality and success of the event,” she said.

To young people, she said the world belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. “If you wish to pursue your dreams and don’t know where to start, join our program that continues to empower and inspire young women from all walks of life to embrace their uniqueness and strive for excellence.”

From the outset, Miss Gauteng Exclusive were determined to create a pageant platform that celebrated the social, psychological, and economic development of women in Gauteng.

“To achieve this, we established a foundation dedicated to addressing social ills and driving community upliftment, social cohesion, and volunteerism. Entering this pageant program will transform your mind and life,” emphasized Jordan.

The Miss Gauteng Exclusive Royal Crowning Finale celebrated Freedom Day with Grandeur at Victory Theatre Houghton Johannesburg.

The Miss Gauteng Exclusive Royal Crowning Finale, which took place on April 27, 2024, was a thrilling show with a palpable excitement.

Amidst a backdrop of celebration and unity, a diamond was crowned as Miss Gauteng Exclusive 2024. As she stood Among a sea of talented and driven contestants, she realized that she was part of something much bigger than herself and Mahlako emerged victorious as the new youth ambassador.

Keyara Da Gama secured the 1st place spot while Enhle Hlophe was crowned 2nd Princess. Tshegofatso Mokgokoloshi was honored with the title of Miss Philanthropy, recognizing her dedication to making a positive impact in the community.

Sibongile Nleya was celebrated as Miss Public Choice, reflecting her popularity and support among the audience.
