A 39-year-old woman from River Park, Alexandra has found real love in modelling. She is a finalist for the Face of Queen With Purpose.

The Queen with purpose was established in 2019 by a non-profit organization to support recipients engaged in community-based projects.

Recipients are expected to donate their time by helping those in need, including those with physical or mental disabilities.

The mother of two children (Ntokozo and Nqobile), a born-again Christian, says she is both humanitarian and outgoing.

She is a member of the Ethiopian Holy Baptist Churchrch in Zion , also known as Izikhova Ezimqini.

“I want to see myself helping more people who are less-fortunate and have my own organisation to help people living with mental illness,” says the gorgeous woman, originally from Vaal in Sebokeng, Zone 7.

“I’m requesting that you support and vote for me,” she said.

In addition to church and modeling, she has been working in the health sector for two years.

She told Mashamba Media that she began modelling at a very young age and whilst in primary school, her excellence in modelling has massively improved .

She was crowned Miss Tsepho Themba Secondary school.

The hot woman got into this difficult competition after being inspired by her friends.

She recalls that her friend showed her the competition on Facebook.

“They discussed it with me. I entered and went to auditions. After I read their memorandum of understanding, I fell in love their their vision.

“They said they were looking for someone who had compassion for those in need, someone who would look after people with disabilities, and that was me,” she said.

“Their vision also reminded me of the scripture, Matthew 25 v 42 and 43 which read ‘For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink. I was a stranger and you did not invite me in. I needed clothes and you did not clothe me. I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'”

She perceived that as a philanthropic commandment.

“But while this verse commands believers to give, this one simply states that they should not refuse requests.”

She says that her mother was also a great inspiration to her and that she always wanted to be like her.

Nomvula said she had no challenge to support and care for the less fortunate, as this is her calling.

“As I’m living with mental illness, I decided it was my time to stop the stigma and show that living with mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of.”

Her short-term objective is to get a sponsorship so that her charitable work can be accomplished.

Although it can be difficult to be sponsored, she is hopeful that businesses will lend a helping hand.

She advised young people to take full advantage of free education and study very hard.

“They must also stay away from the substance abuse. They must always put books first and refrain from having sex because that leads to teenage pregnancy,” she concludes.
