An annual event called Miss IntombiEnhle 2020 ,has seen HOT young ‘chicks’ showing off what their mothers gave them…raw ‘Beauty’. The event was held in Soweto recently.
Nomasonto khumalo (24) was crowned Miss Intombenhle. She is still a virgin and she is determined to stay that way until the right time comes.
Originally from Newcastle in Kwa-Zulu Natal, the queen is revered in Soweto, Protea Glen where she lives. She is both working and studying hospitality in the varsity. After graduation, she will enrol nursing.
“I am a proudly virgin and I feel grateful to be Miss Intombenhle 2020 Queen. It feels so wonderful to be a Queen,” she said.
Nomasonto said she wanted to join models from 2011 when she started high school.
“In KZN we don’t have these opportunities, especially in rural areas. I’m glad that I joined this year and won. It means a lot to me.”
She says she always encourages young people to take care of themselves. “It is very rare to be a virgin at my age nowadays. Girls must respect their bodies, focus on their studies and know that their bodies are the temple of God.”
Nomasonto grew up without both her parents. They passed away in 2004 and 2005 respectively when she was doing grade 2 and grade 3.
Her wish is that one day she opens her orphanage home where she would inspire them that one can live without parents but still make it in life. She realised that girls were mostly vulnerable and the ones messing up.
“There is no need to commit suicide as some of the orphans do.
“Being orphan doesn’t mean that you must throw yourself at boys so that they will support you. Remember that even if your family doesn’t care about you, you can survive as I did.
“I also want to teach young people the importance of knowing your roots and being proud of your culture and being able to speak your language fluently.
“Because most of young people think if they are fluent in English they are intelligent. I think that’s an issue again that I need to fix to young people’s minds.
Ka TKee Khoza Mphathi, the founder of Miss IntombiEnhle which started last year, said their wish is to become the biggest Traditional Pageant in Africa.
“That was after we found out that the virgin girls in the Gauteng area had nothing to look up to except going to the Traditional Reed Dance in Kwanongoma each year.
“We decided to come up with an annual traditional pageant.
“When we started, we considered the girls between 15 – 21. Immediately after completing the inaugural event, we brainstormed about the challenges we faced, with most girls in that age still school going.
“In 2020, we started to look at girls between 18 – 21. In 2021, we are looking for girls between 18 – 26 years old.”
The girl of the moment indicated that she was looking forward to visiting camps around Johannesburg, telling them that even after 21 years they can continue with ‘amatshitshi’.
“Most of them think that after 21, they can start dating and sleeping around with men.”
She said winning IntombiEnhle wasn’t about money but to help the community, the youth in particular.
“I always tell myself that I want to leave a good mark that will be unforgettable. I’m ready for every challenge because I know I always have a solution for every challenge.”

“I am excited I won although the competition was tough. Against all odds, I’m now the First Princess and I’m happy. I would do the whole process again if I had to, it’s fun.”
3. Snenhlanhla Mngomezulu – 2nd Princess
“I’m excited being on the top 3, I worked hard for it and I’m happy.”
