Beauty with purpose: A great poem by Fortunate Twala, former Mrs SA Commonwealth

This is a poem by Fortunate Twala. She is a former Mrs SA Commonwealth. She is a resident of Alexandra, a businesswoman, a mother and a wife who was among the 50 finalists in the Mrs South African Top beauty contest last year.

I quote “Beauty is not in the face, beauty is a light in the heart”.

Life can be challenging and at times downright hand. Not every day is lined with happiness and blissful moments.

We have all been there, and when we find ourselves in that place, there is nothing better than a sweet sister or a friend holding your hand through it all, and slightly adjusting your crown.

True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul, the way she treats other people, the way she exhibits joy, her confidence in the parts of her that make her unique.

Our nations, communities, families need to develop a culture in our society of empowering women, girls and boys with confidence and capabilities.

Being a woman you are always wearing your invisible crown. Fixing a crown of another woman without saying much, that gentle and a quite approach where we only desire to help, not to broadcast it; it doesn’t become coffee conversations nor does it become part of a prayer circle.

We can become the kind of woman who wants to be HOPE, and hold truth and confidence in our hands.

I ask this question, What if you upgrade yourself? When you take that first step, you become so self-confident, sure-footed and happy within yourself that you realize that you needed nothing else.

Know your value and evolve, because when you’re completely blended with the wholeness of who you are, a force to be reckoned with, you already have everything you’d ever need the moment you were born, nothing comes from the outside.

We can never be satisfied with our jobs, partner, careers or home until you are satisfied about yourself. Have enough courage to invest in yourself.
