Bonolo Moahludi (13) continues to make headlines, of course for good reasons.

Last week, she fed the underprivileged young people with her soup kitchen.

And this week, she started her new job at SABC, which she always wanted.

“It’s amazing and exciting. I will be presenting the show and it will be on Fridays at 4:30 pm on SABC 2. It’s an achievement and it feels great,” she said.

When asked how she reacted when she received a call about the position, she replied, “I was excited and a little nervous at the same time.”

Bonolo was invited to the Kids News a couple of months ago, and her dream of working for the SABC finally came true.

This is what she said before she joined the Kids News, “I would love to see myself on that show, especially because it’s about kids. It will be different from the radio.”

She will be doing both TV and Radio. Her Alex FM radio show is aired on Saturdays and the Kids News room is on Fridays.

This bright grade 8 learner has a message to her peers: “Follow your dreams, focus on your studies, avoid substance abuse, don’t be in hurry to grow up, enjoy your youth, be humble and respectful.”

She added that her role model is her mom. “She’s a single mother, a hard-working woman, very supportive and most of all she likes helping people.”

Bonolo’s mother, Tebogo Moahludi said: “I am very proud of her. She’s a humble and respectful child. And most importantly she loves her books.”
