The horrible story of Ndoda Mcali (38) was a one of its kind; story that went viral on social media and shook the walls of Gomora township!

He was associated with the weapons that Alex  Patrollers found recently.

He was also accused of being one of the dangerously feared gangsters.

But, Ndoda, who is born and bred in Alex number 55-20 is surprised to be associated with all these names.

This week, he became the laughing stock and became a town-talk. And in some houses, it was a relief and joy that criminals who have been  terrorising Alex residents were now being taught a harsh lesson.

After two suspected criminals were found with stolen items by the patrollers, they were marinated. They were skinned alive with sjamboks and repeatedly marinated until they revealed other names.

Ndoda’s name was mentioned. He says he was surprised when large number of patrollers invaded his home while he was still in bed with his 18-year-old sweetheart around 7 am.

” They asked both of us our age, and we told them. They started hitting me with sjamboks, saying I was abusing the girls, arguing  she was young.”

“After that, they wrecked havoc to the house, allegedly damaged property while looking for guns they heard I was keeping in the house.

” I got the shock of my life when I heard that I hid guns in my house. They finally found a toy-gun, which belongs  to my boy and started hitting me thinking it was a real gun,” says a bedridden man who was still nursing his wounds.

They pulled him out and continued with a heavy marination as his neighbors hopelessly and desperately looked.

“The beatings were unbearable, for they struck me everywhere.  I was able to run in the direction of the Jukskei River, but they got me and took me to 18th Avenue.”

This was the area where another man allegedly used Pitbulls to rob victims.

” I was handcuffed, tied on the pole and they continued hitting me. One of them pulled me by my 45… that guy wanted to to kill me.”

Other guns were brought forward from other suspects. The total of guns found were.

However, the police confirmed the guns were all toys.

” I don’t do crime anymore. If there’s someone who believes that I pointed at them with a gun or toy gun and robbed them, please let them come forward.

” If I was a real criminal, there would be a case against me and I would behind bars, ” he said.

Ndoda spent 14 years in jail for attempted murder and was released on parole in 2014.

He now owns 16 shacks in his yard and says he survives through them.

” My brother, I’m always indoors and you can ask my neighbors.”

While he was talking, he sometimes stopped and showed us his wounded body dominated by marks left by sjamboks.

” Look at my whole body and hands. I’m in pains as we speak,” he said.

” However, I understand the hitting, but to be associated with all those guns and criminality, is a serious issue to me.

” Now my name is tainted for something I didn’t do, something I don’t know. Now the community looks at me as a criminal.

” They look at me as if I’m  a dangerous thug who is feared by the community and the police,” he said.
