Alex was engulfed by supporters of Umkhonto Wesizwe (MK) who gathered to listen to their leader, Jacob Zuma, deliver the keynote address.

The much-anticipated Greater Johannesburg Region E Rally, which began early and ended at 4PM, was held today at Alex Stadium.

About 35 taxis were organized and managed to transport them to the stadium, but no money was allegedly paid to all the taxis.

Now the traumatised supporters from Soweto, Orange Farm, Vaal, and other areas are stranded in the cold with little hope!

The comrade who allegedly caused this havoc was Bazooka, the region E Treasurer. He was allegedly given 6 million by MK to organize transport, food, printed T-shirts, and so forth.

It’s not clear how cadre Bazooka allegedly ended up not paying the drivers.

By 10 PM tonight , the supporters were still stranded and taxi drivers allegedly wanted to marinate comrade Bazooka for failing to pay them.

The police are currently trying to protect him from the wrath of the drivers who demand their money.

A supporter from Soweto, speaking on condition of anonymity, asked anyone who can help to contact him because they are stranded with nothing being done to solve the issue.

Our efforts to contact Bazooka for comment were unsuccessful.

“Bazooka is not MK Party Treasurer, he is JHB Regional Convener from Soweto. It’s his own constituency,” said MK member in Alex, Thabo Mopasi.
