Alexandra is about to ignite with rhythm, love, and purpose as Freedom To Dance 99 & ShowLove, in collaboration with Alex FM’s The Beat with Lord_Aluta & Busifinesse, brings you a cultural and social movement like no other.
The event will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 1PM until late. This must-attend event will take place at New Avenue Lounge, 12th Avenue, Alexandra.
What began as a commitment to spotlight the unstoppable rise of Women DJ’s has evolved into something greater – a movement. One year later “The Beat” has provided over 20 Female DJ’s, Entrepreneurs and Artists a platform to shine on air. “It’s time to take Radio to the streets and give back to the Community that powers it all,” Tshepo Mathari – Lord_Aluta said.
This groundbreaking celebration will transform New Avenue Lounge into a space of performance, empowerment, and unity. Get ready for an unforgettable lineup featuring:
Mough Mokgerehli, Nobantu Vilakazi, Thick Rebel, Princess Xtreme, Gino Brown, Boontle RSA, Cuebur, Officxl RSA, ZanTen, Benzo & Sipho Cga Bopha Masebe all lighting up the stage with Music, movement, and pure energy.
The day opens with a special Community Address by Alex FM Station Manager Takalane Nemangowe, launching Women’s Month with intention and heart.
The Beat with Lord_Aluta & Busifinesse will be Broadcasting live from 3pm to 6pm.
But this isn’t just about Music, it’s about impact. With the generous support of Studio 411, Radisson Blu Sandton Hotel, and Albany, the Community will be served warm soup and fresh bread — feeding both body and soul.
