The lioness of the provincial African National Congress Youth League (ANC YL) painted Alex with green and yellow on Tuesday morning. Their visit was a component of their Back To School Campaign.
The provincial convener of the league, Ntsako Kelvin Mogobe, said they will provide support to the 2024 matric class throughout the year. They requested a 100% pass rate this year.
He stated that their journey to visit local schools does not end with Alex High. He stated that they prefer not to see school dropouts, particularly those who have failed, but they will support them in their efforts to become strong and overcome any obstacles they encounter.
The league offered books and stationary as gifts. They asserted that it was vital to give out such a book with its bold message.
The book titled ‘BEFORE VARSITY’ is the most popular one in the country.
Head of elections in zone 13, Nomsa Masondo, said it was appropriate to start the year with such a campaign to encourage support for the matric class of 2024. She added that their journey of support continues to other schools around.
The party’s youth league was not heard raising many words of campaigning for 2024 national elections , instead they were encouraging the youth to study hard.
The school’s principal was elated by the visit and words of motivation.
