A silver-grey VW Kombi (registration LG34LDGP) was hijacked at gunpoint today in Extension 9 near West Bank. Tour guide Thabo Mopisi (pictured) and his tourist passengers were robbed during the incident. No injuries were reported. The incident occurred at 11 am.
The incident has raised concerns about tourist safety in Alex.The vehicle was found in ext 7.
