The 30-year-old rapper allegedly asked why two men were staring at him, pulled out a gun and fired, hitting one man in the stomach.
He faces attempted murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm and malicious damage to property charges. The victim is still in intensive care in critical condition.
Limpopo rapper Shebeshxt is behind bars after he allegedly shot a fan who greeted him on the street.

The 30-year-old artist, real name Lehlogonolo Chauke, appeared in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Thursday. The case was postponed to Friday, 21 November.
The shooting happened on 19 October on Witklip Street in Ladanna, just outside Polokwane. Two men spotted the rapper early in the morning and greeted him like fans.
But Shebeshxt allegedly asked, “Kgane a letlale ka nna?” which means, “Why are they staring at me?” He then pulled out a gun and fired.
The bullet hit one man in the stomach and smashed a car window. The victim was rushed to Polokwane Provincial Hospital and is still in intensive care in a critical condition.
Police arrested Shebeshxt on Wednesday, 12 November, during a raid at his home. He is being held on charges of attempted murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm and malicious damage to property.
The National Prosecuting Authority says it has a strong case. Spokesperson Mashudu Malabi-Dzangi said the state will push for a long jail sentence.
The NPA may bring in other pending cases involving Shebeshxt to strengthen the current case. He is already out on R5,000 bail in another case where he faces attempted murder, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and robbery charges.
The authority wants to raise this case to a Schedule Six offence, the most serious kind where getting bail is very difficult.
Limpopo police commissioner Lieutenant-General Thembi Hadebe said no one is above the law, regardless of their social standing.
