In a heartwarming display of humanity and solidarity, Lulaway Holdings lit up Mandela Day with a visit to Thuthuzela Charity in Alexandra — bringing with them not just donations, but joy, laughter, and love.
With trolleys laden with essential food items, fresh fruit, and warm clothing, the Lulaway team arrived ready to make a difference. But they didn’t just drop off parcels—they stayed, they played, and they connected.
Children squealed with delight as staff members played games, painted faces, and shared stories, while residents expressed deep gratitude for the compassion shown. The home, often quiet and reserved, echoed with laughter and warmth as strangers became family—if only for a day.
“This is what Mandela Day is truly about,” said one Lulaway volunteer. “It’s not just about giving—it’s about being present, being human, and spreading hope.”
The initiative forms part of Lulaway’s broader mission to uplift underprivileged communities and invest in the spirit of Ubuntu—the belief in a shared humanity.
By dedicating time, resources, and open hearts, Lulaway continues to honour Madiba’s legacy, proving that even the smallest gestures can spark powerful change.
