Tshidiso Michael Mabetwa ‘SadboyMike’ needed almost two years of singing and writing training to create his own song.
With the help of musical producer Jordan Klem, he was able to discover the most important role in recording as an artist.
After several sessions in the studio, he learned to master it.
“Not perfectly, but it’s something I always keep working on.
“After all the time invested, I’m glad to announce that I will be dropping my first debut single titled “Too Much Pride” from my upcoming project on the 15th of April 2022,” says the confident local muso.
Michael (21 years old) is an R&B/SOUL artist from Alexandra township (north of Johannesburg). He is known by the stage name ‘ SADBOYMIKE.’
His debut single ‘Too Much Pride’ will be available on all digital music stores.
The must-listen-to song, was produced by Elizée, while Elaine worked on elements. This great track was mixed and mastered by Flex The Ninja who worked with The Big Hash and many others.
SADBOYMIKE says that over the next eight years he will be the RNB artist with the most exposure.
He also sees himself selling more than 300 000 units globally, owning a successful recording company and working with international acts such as Bryson Tiller, H.E.R, just to mention but few.
“I see myself having solid relationships/investments with major companies. Most importantly, I want to collaborate with arts & culture and do something for the community of Alexandra.,” he says.
“My message to the youth is, believe in your dreams no matter how insane it sounds to people.
“It’s gonna be a painful, lonely and stressful road. But you won’t get any support from anyone till your aspirations start evolving.
“There will be a lot of jealous people who will try to distract you, so keep your circle small and tight. Make sure you trust everyone who’s around you and most importantly success comes with a good heart.
“Treat people well, have a positive energy and don’t forget where you come from.”
